Our Story

Born from the intersection of finance and technology

Requent was founded by engineers who spent years building the systems that keep financial institutions running — and saw first-hand how businesses of every size drown in spreadsheets, manual reconciliation, and delayed reporting.

We asked a simple question: what would these systems look like if they were designed today, with AI and real-time data engineering as the foundation rather than an afterthought? Everything we build is our answer to that question.

Pontsho is a technology lead with 11+ years of experience delivering enterprise software across R&D, financial and investment sectors — taking systems from requirements and architecture through to delivery and support.

He works full-stack across .NET / C#, C++, Rust, Python, Next.JS and React, with deep expertise in cloud (AWS), Terraform, microservices, clean architecture, VSA, data engineering and agentic AI, while leading agile delivery teams day to day.
